I've been craving Sushi  for a minute now. Kaiba's didn't disappoint! It satisfied my craving for Sushi.

What I ordered:

-Heart Attack ($8.99)
-Hungry Man ($15.99)
-Kaiba ($14.99)

The Heart Attack consists of a Deep-Fried Jalapeño Stuffed with Spicy Tuna and Cream Cheese. Served with Smelt Egg, Tiger Sauce and Eel Sauce.

The Hungry Man consists of Eel, Spicy Tuna,  Krab Meat, Crunch, Shrimp Tempura, Cucumber with Spicy Mayo and Eel Sauce.

The Kaiba consists of Seared Albacore, Shrimp Tempura, Krab Meat, Cream Cheese, Red Onion, Cilantro, Pickled Jalapeño with Kaiba Sauce.

My favorite was the Kaiba Roll. The pickled jalapeño paired with the Kaiba Sauce created an explosion  of flavor. This roll is very good.  I highly recommended it

All the rolls that I ordered with flavorful and delicious.

Service was very attentive. I came here solo and when I arrived they were busy, but there was one booth and some chairs available at the bar. I didn't want to sit at the bar because I wanted to see the TVs. Note: I realized later there's one big TV behind the bar area anyways. I was given the choice of a booth or the bar. This really set the tone for how good the service is here.

Golf was on the Tv and I checked around the room and it didn't seem like people were too interested in watching Golf. I didn't want to be that guy that comes in asks to change the channel to something so many people are intently watching. Plus the AFC Wild Card Game between the Browns and Texans was on. My server Jennifer was very lovely. She told me that she would check with her manager about changing the channel.

Jennifer was very helpful in recommending so popular rolls at my request. She checked in several times to see how I was doing as well.

One of severs brought over a roll and accidents spilled a little bit of sauce on the table not a big deal. Another server came over to clean the "mess" with a rag. This attention to detail was appreciated nevertheless.

Pro Tip: Check in on Yelp and get a free Hot Tea, Soda or Ice Cream.

It was a no brainer to order ice cream. I was offered Vanilla or Green Tea  Ice Cream  I went with Green Tea Ice Cream. The serving size was a very healthy portion with a lovely presentation. As you can see in the picture.

There are many different highly recommended restaurants in Monterey Park, but Kaiba's is without a doubt the best one out there.

Kaiba Japanese Restaurant excels in offering a fusion of traditional and modern Japanese flavors, with its expertly crafted sushi and sashimi, and richly flavored ramen dishes standing out. The serene ambiance, coupled with exceptional service, ensures a delightful and authentic dining experience.

ordered the beef udon and it was super yummy! portions and quality for the price seemed pretty good. would definitely go back again if im craving udon :)

My family and I always order the sashimi combo and it's definitely enough for 3-4 people. The fish is super fresh and it's nice to have the special wasabi that it come with. Would definitely recommend this place for those looking for their Japanese fix. We've also tried their teriyaki beef which is delicious and comes out on a sizzling plate with a layer of onions. They also have other food options like ramen and udon that seem popular.

This place has an impressive collection for the price! I live for the Tiger Roll! #basic

The area looked super sketch. We weren't even gonna go in at first. But I told my husband to go inside and check it out. Some of the best hidden gems are in sketch areas (LBVS)..
I'm so glad he did. The place was packed! Which is always a good sign. The food looked great and the restaurant was clean. It's a smaller place, so we could tell all of this just by standing in the front door.
The service was good. Waitress was attentive. Food was excellent! I don't know the name of these dishes pictured. But they were so yummy!
Glad we came here during our family vacation!

this is my fifth time ordering take out at kaiba and it never disappoints!! i'll definitely be coming here eventually for dine in

~Food~
best to worst:

heart attack: i've tried many heart attack variations at different places but kaiba's is always the best. the amount of spicy tuna that they include is so impressive and the ratio to cream cheese and batter is just right

hamachi and salmon nigiri: the fish is very fresh and melts in your mouth. there is a bit more rice than i would like but it's not an issue since i can just take some out

sunset roll: i love spicy tuna so this roll is right up my alley. the rolls are pretty hefty and as mentioned above, the fish is very fresh

tuna nigiri: this one was ok. the tuna was a bit chewy and the most recent time was my first time ordering their tuna nigiri so maybe it was an off day but it wasn't worth the money. maybe would be better made into spicy tuna

~Cost: $$ standard for sushi

Kaiba has great sushi and udon noodles! We had dinner here many years ago but returned this past summer. We didn't know why we hadn't been back before! Their hamachi is delicious! Their staff is attentive and its simple setting is relaxing.
